The concept of curating this event came into being after a longtime obsession with the idea of looking at a DOOR as a vehicle for ART.  The symbol of a DOOR has infinite potential and I would like to tap into it.

Through my own exploration, I became curious about how other creative minds might see a DOOR or DOOR frame?  What can a DOOR represent?  What unexpected mediums will lend themselves to this concept? What other visions and messages can be shared with our audiences?

The goal was to gather an eclectic group of ATL art communities into one space to share thoughts, stories & styles.  I have invited a diverse group of artists to pick apart the idea and create work around the image of a DOOR.

DOORS Can Dance happened September 15 and 16, 2017
Artists shared their unique points of view, body languages and concepts through various mediums such as dance theater, contemporary dance, short film, Bharatanatyam, interactive performance art & video installation - all around the image of a DOOR.

Both shows began at 7pm.
Murmur Gallery is located at: 100 Broad St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
